Tuesday, August 29 at the Grand Inter-continental Seoul Parnas in Samsung-dong,
the Korea International Trade Association (KITA, Chairman Christopher Koo) held
a “Trade Industry Meeting with special guest Todd Young, Senator of U.S.
State of Indiana”.
At this meeting, the KITA
Chairman Team, including Christopher Koo, Chairman of KITA; Joy Sakurai, Deputy
Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, Korea; Lee Hwi-Ryeong, Vice
Chairman of SeAH Steel Corp.; Choi Myung-Bae, President of Exicon;
Park Haerin, Chairman of Omni System; and Lee Dong-Seop, Vice Chairman of Iljin
Group, as well as representatives of companies that are doing business in the
state of Indiana, totaling about twenty persons, attended.
In June of this year, in
commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Korea-U.S. alliance, Senator
Todd Young of the State of Indiana formed a bipartisan “Korea-friendly”
organization called the Korea Caucus together with Senator Jon Ossoff of the
state of Georgia and others. This is his first visit to Korea.
