KITA Chairman Jin Sik Yoon had a meeting on Wednesday, 22 July with exporter companies in the South Gyengsang province region, including Busan and Ulsan Metropolitan Cities, at Lotte Hotel in Busan.
Aside from Chairman Yoon, this meeting was attended by representatives from Panasia, which specialises in environmentally-friendly energy systems, Felix Tech, which specialises in forged & steel products, Rinno Aluminum, which specialises in EV parts, FineCNM, which specialises in plant construction and maintenance, Fine Technology, which specialises in electronic parts processing tapes and DK-Lok, which specialises in value production. Although small in size, these companies are known for its cutting-edge technologies in emerging sectors.
During the meeting, attendees pinpointed the following five areas that need to be addressed for more successful business: a) expanding U.S. E-2 visa quota, b) devising ways to secure container capacity at a time of skyrocketing maritime freight costs, c) establishing facilities needed to verify eco-friendliness of ship equipment, d) stabilising the supply of raw materials (incl. aluminum) and improving the practicability of supply price adjustment system and e) supporting parts/material production companies in pioneering new international sales destinations.
