Korea International Trade Association (KITA) virtually co-hosted Korea-Kazakhstan Business Forum with Samruk-Kazyna to celebrate the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations and explore new areas of cooperation in both countries. Kazakhstan is rich in natural resources including oil, natural gas and minerals, and plans to increase domestic pharmaceutical production.

The forum was attended by Samruk-Kazyna Invest, TAU-KEN Samruk and Samruk-Kazyna Pharmacy from Kazakhstan business community, and Korea Institute of Geoscience & Mineral Resources and Korea Health Industry Development Institute from Korean side.

KITA held “Hallyu Town Fest London 2022” from July 7 to July 10 in London, UK. During this event, prominent Korean SMEs in Hallyu business were showcased to promote their products and services to potential buyers. Along with “Hallyu Pop Fest Concert”, B2C exhibition served as a venue to boost their sales performance and directly interact with British customers.

Lee Kwan-sup, Executive Vice Chairman of KITA had a meeting with Qatar Ambassador Khalid bin Ebrahim Al-Hamar on July 18 at the World Trade Center Seoul. Qatar is the first country ever to host FIFA World Cup in Middle East and in winter. For a successful tournament, both sides discussed ways to promote World Cup Qatar 2022 in a range of fields including Arab Cultural Festival, which will take place from September 16 to September 24 at the COEX East gate lobby. This meeting provided a valuable opportunity to foster close ties and bilateral cooperation between Korea and Qatar.

KITA always pursues a corruption-free society with the Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission (ACRC), a central administrative agency.

Launched on February 29, 2008, ACRC pushes forward with anti-corruption and integrity policies, and lead by example to realize an active and responsive administration by resolving civil complaints and administrative appeals.
