International Trade Association (Chairman: Christopher Koo) held “The Clean
Beauty Market in the EU” webinar in a multipoint virtual conference format on
October 7th at Seoul and Brussels.
Clean beauty products are cosmetics that fulfill the following
criteria - a) ethical production and distribution, b) designated mix of natural
and organic ingredients, c) minimal chemical ingredients, d) minimal and
eco-friendly packaging, e) reduced carbon emission during production and
distribution and f) production by a company adopting environmental, social and
corporate governance (ESG).
Kang, No-kyeong from KITA Brussels Center, Jo, Seong-seon, the
head of NEMO GmbH in Germany and Kim, Jee-hyeon, a manager from Biorius - a
certification company based in Brussels participated in the webinar to provide
useful information for more than 150 people engaged in the cosmetic industry at
home and abroad. They provided information on the clean beauty market in the
EU, key trends of the clean beauty market in the region, clean beauty companies
in the EU, strategies to initiate business operations in the EU by channel and
clean beauty certification in the region.
