The
Korea International Trade Association (Chairman: Kim Young-ju) and the Korea-Africa Foundation co-hosted ‘2021
Annual Forum on African Business Outlook’ on December 16th. At
the forum, a mayor from Africa and economic experts gave speeches on the
effects of COVID-19, changes in the trade and investment environment, next
year’s economic outlook, and
COVID-19 countermeasures and strategies to overcome it in Africa. Vice Chairman Han Jin-hyun of KITA stated in his
welcome speech, “The current pandemic is accelerating changes in world economy
and industrial settings. Korea and Africa can promote mutual growth by working
together in newly developing sectors.”
