    KITA’s e-Global Business Service Received Trade Facilitation Innovation Awards

    - Received ‘Trade Facilitation Innovation Awards’ hosted by UNESCAP (UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific) and ADB (the Asian Development Bank) -


    TheSeamless KITA e-Global Business Service of the Korea International Trade Association (Chairman, Kim In-ho) received the Trade Facilitation Innovation Awards at the Asia-Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum’ hosted by UNESCAP and ADB and held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on September 6, local time.


    This year marks the eighth anniversary of the forum and it was held with the aim of finding trade facilitation* measures and digital solutions and sharing them among the countries in the region for the comprehensive and sustainable development of the Asia-Pacific region. The Trade Facilitation Innovation Awards that the Korea International Trade Association received this time was established and presented for the first time this year after the process of collecting cases from major governments and institutions in 60 countries in the Asia-Pacific region and selected the best practices for trade facilitation.

    The e-Global Business Service of the Korea International Trade Association was highly evaluated as it provides seamless information throughout the entire trade activities by offering organic services, for example, providing overseas trade information via the (the website of KITA) and tradeNavi (a comprehensive trade information portal service) supporting trade marketing activities through tradeKorea (B2B online marketplace) and Kmall24 (online shopping mall for foreigners) and offering the trade automation service through KITAs subsidiary KTNET (Korea Trade Network Co. Ltd.)'s uTradeHub.


    Upon receiving this award, it is anticipated that the international interest in the Korean trade facilitation system will increase and the export of electronic trade service will expand significantly. It is also expected to help Korea establish the national image as a leading country of the e-commerce paradigm.


    Cho Hak-hee, the head of e-Biz services group at KITA, said The Korea International Trade Association not only provides information on overseas market trends, tariffs, and trade regulations, but also supports marketing activities targeting foreign buyers and direct sales to overseas customers He also added “We will not spare any effort to create an e-business environment that the trading companies will be able to use easily and conveniently".
